Prince of Wales College Replaced, ca. 1967

After the fire of 1932, Prince of Wales College was replaced with a new modern building designed by contractor W. L. R. Stewart and architect Mr. Mirani of the Stewart Corporation. New furniture and classroom and lab equipment was also provided. The new building was opened on February 16th 1933. In 1965, Prince of Wales College was renamed as a university and in 1968-1969, Prince of Wales amalgamated with St. Dunstan's University to become what is now the University of Prince Edward Island. The Prince of Wales building is now part of Holland College.
