| Arthur Newbery was born in Siena, Italy on April 24, 1850, one of several children born to John Fenton Newbery and Adela Travaglini. The family moved to Charlottetown when Arthur was a still a young boy, by way of New York and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Arthur attended Prince of Wales College and in 1879 was appointed Assistant Provincial Secretary, a position he held for more than 50 years. Arthur Newbery died in 1930. | | Next>>> | | Previous<<< |
