The Old Mill, Souris, P.E.I.

Morley S. Acorn worked at the Klondyke Mill that his brother Herbert managed. Like Morley, Herbert also served as mayor of Souris and went on to represent 1st Kings in the Legislative Assembly in the 1930s. By 1914 Morley was working full time as a photographer in Souris. Fire destroyed his collection of glass plate negatives in 1916. He relocated his business to the Leard Building and continued photography. His collection of glass plate negatives, from which the images on display here were taken were donated to the P.E.I. Museum and Heritage Foundation in 1974 by Ray Leard.
