Gowan Brae, near Souris, P.E.I., circa 1925 |
|
Formerly known as New Bristol, it is believed that Gowan Brae was renamed by John MacGowan who settled there in the 1830s. Automobiles were not permitted on Island roads until 1919. Acorn probably was one of the early owners of a vehicle in the Souris area. | Next>>> | Previous<<< |
